Our Goal: A Common-Sense Plan for Parking

If you live, work, or visit our village, you know the challenge of parking in Sleepy Hollow.  It’s a concern we’ve all shared for decades, but finding a real solution has been elusive.

Unite Sleepy Hollow has a plan to change that.

One Size Doesn't Fit All

We understand that a single solution won’t work for our diverse village. Each
neighborhood has its own unique parking needs, and a successful plan must respect those differences.

Our Commitment: A Neighborhood-by-Neighborhood Approach

The Unite Sleepy Hollow team is committed to working directly with the residents of
each neighborhood to find the right solutions. Our vision prioritizes community input and planning together.

Our multi-part plan includes:

Preserving Residential Streets: We will work to ensure the strictly residential
avenues in neighborhoods like Webber Park and the Manors remain free of
excess traffic and parked cars.

Fighting for Permit Parking: We will coordinate with our New York State elected
officials to push for the approvals needed to create resident permit parking on
certain streets, including within Edge on Hudson.

Building a Parking Solution: We will allocate the necessary funds to finally
develop a much-needed, multi-level parking facility across from Village Hall at the
top of Beekman Avenue.

We understand that sudden changes to parking rates and rules are unfair and that
revenue from visitor parking is critical to offsetting the costs of our community events.

Our approach will be thoughtful, inclusive, and designed to make residents proud to live in Sleepy Hollow.
